A Good Night

We found out last night that those who had signed up for email updates were not receiving them. This was broken during the work that was done to fix the problem with Facebook. The email system has been repaired now, if you have any problems not receiving your updates please let us know.

Highlight: Joseph did NOT develop a fever during the night.

Joseph’s grandmother ,Marie, reports that he slept 7 hours uninterrupted last night. That was very good for him. Last night was also Joseph’s first laugh in several weeks. Marie showed him a video on her phone of one of his brothers doing something silly and he laughed.

This morning Joseph is fasting  for a possible visit to surgery for a diagnostic test. We had a bunch of stories from the Jesus Storybook Bible. He is napping  on my knee right now.

We are waiting to hear about the time for chemo and the time for surgery.

Word has just come in from the doctors that chemo will be tomorrow. There have been paperwork and scheduling issues but those are getting resolved. Joseph will NOT have a visit to surgery today. That test will be done next Monday. So today is not a heavy day for Joseph which is very nice as Kate, with help from two other families (one to watch the older boys and one to come to the hospital and keep Ezra), is here to spend some time with Joseph.  Kate and Joseph are having a great time joking. Now we see Joseph’s famous dimples for the first time in weeks.

  1. I and friends, including folk at Glenmanus R P Church, are praying. It is good to hear of some better moments for your brave little man but I know we need to keep on praying in faith for Joseph and for all of you during this trying time. May you know the Lord’s daily grace sustaining you. Love Margaret

  2. Hello Ed, just wanted to let you know that we’ve been praying for Joseph. It’s very encouraging to hear how much he’s made it through!

  3. We are delighted that Kate has been able to get a good visit with Joseph and continue to pray that all will be well with the chemo.

  4. Thinking of you all and praying for Joseph. I know how hard it is to have a child so ill and having to spend time in hospital like that. It affects the whole family. Much Love to you all.
